The All Is One is the final chapter in the loosely-connected and informally titled “Gullvåg Trilogy” kicked off by 2017’s The Tower and connected by 2019’s The Crucible. Recorded between September-November of 2019 in France and Norway, the album was originally planned for a release in spring but was inevitably postponed due to – what else – Covid 19. However, the moment is ripe for new music and the band has used their extra time to give attention to every detail, resulting in a double album that is dense and Motorpsychodelic in the best possible way. Release date has been set for August 28th, 2020.
Motorpsycho in their own words: “This album is called The All Is One, and will be released on 2xLP, 2xCD as well as digitally through both Stickman Records and Rune Grammofon on August 28, 2020. The cover art is once again by Håkon Gullvåg, and this time around is art painted esp for us!
It is a long album that features music from two sessions we did last year. The first session included our favourite Stockholmian Norwegian Reine Fiske, and took place in Black Box Studio in France in September. The second, featured two of our favourite Norwegian musicians, Ola Kvernberg and Lars Horntveth, and was a brief three day affair at Ocean Sound Studio on the Norwegian west coast in November.
At the center of this album is a long 5 part piece featuring some of the most radical stuff we’ve done on record in a while, but if the prospect of a 42minute piece for ballet inspired by paintings, alchemy and the tarot seems too daunting, there is also a handful of losely related shorter songs to get into. For us this is obviously just different views and tangents of the one thing, but you will all make of it what you will, and hopefully it will all make some sort of sense to you however deep you choose to go.

Το The All Is One είναι το τελευταίο κεφάλαιο της χαλαρά συνδεδεμένης τριλογίας albums, ανεπίσημα ονομασμένης ως “Gullvåg Trilogy” που ξεκίνησε με το The Tower (2017) και συνεχίστηκε με το The Crucible (2019). Ηχογραφημένο στο διάστημα Σεπτεμβρίου-Νοεμβρίου του 2019 στην Γαλλία και την Νορβηγία, το album αρχικά προγραμματιζόταν να κυκλοφορήσει την άνοιξη του 2020, αλλά μοιραία αναβλήθηκε λόγω της πανδημίας του Covid 19. Ωστόσο, η ώρα για νέα μουσική έχει έρθει και η μπάντα χρησιμοποίησε αυτό το χρόνο για να δώσει προσοχή σε κάθε λεπτομέρεια, με αποτέλεσμα ένα πυκνό διπλό album, όσο πιο Motorpsychodelic γίνεται. Ο δίσκος θα κυκλοφορήσει στις 28 Αυγούστου 2020.
Οι Motorpsycho ανακοίνωσαν τα εξής: “Το album θα ονομάζεται The All Is One και θα κυκλοφορήσει ως διπλό βινύλιο, διπλό CD και ψηφιακά από την Stickman Records και την Rune Grammofon στις 28 Αυγούστου 2020. Το εξώφυλλο σχεδίασε για άλλη μία φορά ο Håkon Gullvåg!
Είναι ένα μεγάλης διάρκειας album που περιλαμβάνει μουσική από δύο ηχογραφήσεις που κάναμε πέρυσι. Στην πρώτη συμμετέχει ο αγαπημένος μας Νορβηγός από την Στοκχόλμη, ο Reine Fiske, στο Black Box Studio στην Γαλλία τον Σεπτέμβριο. Στη δεύτερη συμμετέχουν δύο από τους αγαπημένους μας Νορβηγούς μουσικούς, οι Ola Kvernberg και Lars Horntveth και ήταν υπόθεση μόλις τριών ημερών στα Ocean Sound Studio, στη δυτική Νορβηγική ακτή τον Νοέμβριο.
Στο κέντρο του album υπάρχει ένα μεγάλο κομμάτι σε πέντε μέρη, το οποίο περιλαμβάνει το πιο ριζοσπαστικό υλικό που έχουμε ηχογραφήσει εδώ και αρκετό καιρό, αλλά αν η προοπτική ενός 42λεπτου για μπαλέτο εμπνευσμένο από πίνακες, την αλχημεία και τις κάρτες φαντάζει αρκετά αγχωτική, υπάρχουν επίσης αρκετά μικρότερα κομμάτια στον δίσκο. Για μας αυτές είναι απλά διαφορετικές οπτικές ενός πράγματος, αλλά θα βγάλετε τα δικά σας συμπεράσματα και ελπίζουμε να έχει κάποιο νόημα για εσάς, ανεξάρτητα του πόσο βαθιά επιλέγετε να πάτε.
