Gaute Storsve Trio released ¿Nada? ¡Nunca!. This is the first single from Gaute Storsve Trio’s upcoming album El gran Gotzilla which will be released through Apollon Records, three years after the magnificent Attention: This is Not A Toy | For Adult Collectors Only. The title means “Nothing? Never!” and introduces the trio and the three guest musicians who participate on the album. The title alludes to the slightly hectic nature of the track and the fact that all six instruments play leading parts, sometimes simultaneously.

This is Nordic jazz merged with Cuban music. Storsve lived and worked in Havana where he befriended the percussionist Angel Terry Domech. Terry is an incredibly experienced percussionist who has played with a multitude of Cuban musicians like Buena Vista Social Club with whom he toured and recorded for several years. On ¿Nada? ¡Nunca! Terry plays the traditional West African drums batá.

The two other guest musicians are the amazing improvisation musician Jørgen Mathisen best known from Krokofant and the very talented violinist Ingrid Berg Mehus.

Οι Gaute Storsve Trio κυκλοφόρησαν το κομμάτι ¿Nada? ¡Nunca!. Πρόκειται για το πρώτο single από το επερχόμενο νέο album των Gaute Storsve Trio με τίτλο El gran Gotzilla το οποίο θα κυκλοφορήσει από την Apollon Records, τρία χρόνια μετά το εξαιρετικό Attention: This is Not A Toy | For Adult Collectors Only. Ο τίτλος σημαίνει “Τίποτα? Ποτέ!” και παρουσιάζει το trio και τους τρεις guest μουσικούς που συμμετέχουν στο album. Ο τίτλος παραπέμπει στην ελαφρώς ταραχώδη φύση του κομματιού και στο γεγονός ότι και τα έξι όργανα παίζουν πρωταγωνιστικά μέρη, μερικές φορές ταυτόχρονα.

Πρόκειται για Σκανδιναβική jazz και Κουβανέζικη μουσική. Ο Storsve έζησε και δούλεψε στην Havana όπου έγινε φίλος με τον περκασιονίστα Angel Terry Domech. Ο Terry είναι ένας πάρα πολύ έμπειρος μουσικός που έχει παίξει με πολλούς Κουβανούς μουσικούς και σχήματα όπως οι Buena Vista Social Club με τους οποίους περιόδευσε και ηχογράφησε για πολλά χρόνια. Στο ¿Nada? ¡Nunca! ο Terry παίζει παραδοσιακά ντραμς batá από την Δυτική Αφρική.

Οι άλλοι δύο guest μουσικοί είναι ο καταπληκτικός αυτοσχεδιαστής Jørgen Mathisen (Krokofant) και ο πολύ ταλαντούχος βιολιστής Ingrid Berg Mehus.
