Guitarist, composer and solo artist Yuval Ron uploaded the video for Somewhere In This Universe, Somebody Hits a Drum, the title track from Ron’s solo album featuring Marco Minnemann on drums which was released last year. Yuval Ron had previously released two albums with Residents of the Future (Futuristic Worlds Under Construction – 2004, Residence Of The Future – 2009).
Yuval Ron performs original tunes which transcend the boundaries of a specific musical genre. Inspired by a crossover of modern jazz-fusion, progressive rock and other contemporary styles, an own distinct musical direction is created.
In Somewhere In This Universe, Somebody Hits a Drum, Yuval Ron is taking off on a mission, to explore the vast musical universe, hence the album’s title and inspiration. The album, which was over three years in the making, features six beautiful and profound compositions placing a strong emphasis on big, orchestral, film music-like arrangements and production. On top of those, the players give some virtuoso and passionate performances, soloing over the tunes while keeping their original intent.
