New supergroup featuring Portnoy, Sherinian, SheehanΝέο supergroup από τους Portnoy, Sherinian, Sheehan

One more band that Mike Portnoy founds/collaborates on, but here are included equally famous names. For starters, he meets again old familiar faces, namely Derek Sherinian from Dream Theater and Billy Sheehan from Winery Dogs (by the way, the trio has toured before during 2012-2013 as PSMS with the addition of Tony McAlpine on the guitar). The band is rounded out by musicians of the same caliber, Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal (ex-Guns N’ Roses) and Jeff Scott Soto and Son of Apollo are here! Therefore, Derek Sherinian’s statement that “the music is modern, but we have an old school soul” and “what is unique about Sons Of Apollo is that we have true rock n’ roll swagger along with the virtuosity– a lethal combination!” makes perfect sense.
It is natural that such a strong lineup signed with InsideOut Music. The band works at a relentless pace in the studio to complete its debut album entitled Psychotic Symphony and it is scheduled to be released on October, 20th. Άλλη μια μπάντα που ιδρύει/συμμετέχει ο Mike Portnoy, εδώ όμως συμμετέχουν ισάξια “βαριά” ονόματα. Καταρχήν βρίσκει τους παλιούς γνωστούς του Derek Sherinian από τους Dream Theater και Billy Sheehan από τους Winery Dogs και όλοι μαζί να έχουν περιοδεύσει και πάλι την περίοδο 2012-2013 ως PSMS μαζί με τον Tony McAlpine στην κιθάρα.
