Tangerine Dream have released their version of two tracks included on the soundtrack of Netflix’s smash hit series “Stranger Things”. Survive, the original soundtrack composers, have cited Tangerine Dream as a major influence. The creators of Stranger things had also included original Tangerine Dream compositions during the course of the series. Now the German electronic pioneers have returned the favour by issuing streams of two of the tracks. Tangerine Dream decided to keep going after the passing of their leader Edgar Froese in January 2015. Violinist Hoshiko Yamanewith joined keyboardists Thorsten Quaeschning and Ulrich Schnauss to form the current line-up.

Οι Tangerine Dream έδωσαν στη δημοσιότητα δύο διασκευές τους σε κομμάτια του soundtrack της πετυχημένης σειράς του Netflix, “Stranger Things”. Οι Survive είναι η μπάντα που συνέθεσε το soundtrack και έχουν αναφέρει τους Tangerine Dream ως βασική τους επιρροή. Επίσης, οι δημιουργοί της σειράς χρησιμοποίησαν και αυθεντικές Tangerine Dream συνθέσεις κατά τη διάρκειά της. Με αυτήν την κίνηση οι Γερμανοί πρωτοπόροι της ηλεκτρονικής μουσικής επιστρέφουν το κομπλιμέντο. Θυμίζουμε ότι παρά τον θάνατο του ηγέτη τους Edgar Froese τον Ιανουάριο του 2015, οι Tangerine Dream αποφάσισαν να συνεχίσουν. Η νεοεισελθούσα βιολίστρια Hoshiko Yamanewith προστέθηκε στο τωρινό line-up, συμπληρώνοντας τους Thorsten Quaeschning και Ulrich Schnauss.
